Join former RAF serviceman and author Darrel Gregory at the Central Library this April for an honest and fascinating look at life in the Royal Air Force.

Darrel will be speaking about his book ‘Three Stripes, I’m Out’, which tells the story of his 23-year career working closely with Chinook helicopters. His service took him across major operations, including the Falklands War in 1982, where he supported the legendary “Bravo November” mission, as well as NATO deployments in the former Yugoslavia.

The book began as a personal project during the COVID lockdowns and has since become a compelling account of military life, offering insight into both challenges and the camaraderie of serving in the RAF.

This event is a chance to hear directly from Darrel, ask questions, and learn more about the experiences behind the book. Copies of ‘Three Stripes, I’m Out’ will be available to buy on the day, with a book signing after the talk.
