Swimming Pool Plant Operations (QCF)

Type: Active IQ Level 2 Award in Swimming Pool Plant Operations

 

The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to safely monitor the water quality and associated pool plant operations. The qualification is Ofqual accredited and regulated through the awarding body Active IQ. The course is delivered over 1 day of face to face contact time with an workplace assignment to be completed and submitted with demonstrable evidence to satisfy the assignment criteria (within 4 weeks), which is assessed by the tutor and verified by an internal quality assurance assessor before certification can be claimed.

Who should attend:

Staff working in sports and recreation organisations who need to be trained to a nationally recognised standard

Aimed at those who are responsible for the day to day monitoring of pool water quality and, safe operation of the swimming pool and plant.

Pre-Requisites

Candidates should be in a position where they test and monitor water quality and will be able to access and operate the swimming pool plant

All Active Luton Courses are delivered in English. Tutors must be convinced that you have sufficient fluency in written and spoken English to cope with your course from the start.

Assessment

Learners must achieve and pass both 2 units (5 credits) which include course work, worksheets and a practical demonstration. After the course, candidates will be required to undertake practical assignments back in the workplace and submit evidence to satisfy the assessment criteria

Validity Period

It is recommended that holders of the qualification should attend CPD training to reduce the impact of skills fade.
