We’re looking for new Trustees with commercial finance, audit and risk expertise. Could you help us make a difference to Luton’s community?
We believe that physical activity is of huge benefit for the health, wellbeing and lifelong learning of Luton’s residents. We develop and deliver opportunities for people to get active and stay active as well as improving their health and increasing their employability. Our purpose is to make a difference to the lives of our community, working in partnership with like-minded organisations.
We have an exciting opportunity for new trustees to become involved in enhancing the provision of physical activity for the community of Luton.
The commitment will involve attending four board meetings a year (each one lasting no more than 2.5 hours) with attendance encouraged at a sub-committee of your choice and community events as they arise. We would expect new trustees to serve at least one three-year term.
We are keen to recruit trustees to complement the skills of the existing Board and management team and to provide strategic direction for the organisation.
We also have a strong desire to have a Board reflective of the local community, ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion run through everything we do.
The Board would particularly welcome applications from individuals with a commitment to and interest in local sport and physical activity and/or experience in business, leadership and management. Skills and experience in the areas of finance, legal, IT, audit and risk are areas that the Board has particularly highlighted as being required.
This is a real opportunity to make a difference!
