VACANCIES

HEALTH LEADER (Community)

37 hours per week

L2 - £15,523 -£16,572 (occasional evenings and weekends)

 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Health & Wellbeing Manager, and both the Health and Wellbeing and Outreach Teams, promoting and developing the varied health programmes taking place within Active Luton sites and in the community.

Some experience of working in the leisure environment, organising and leading activities is required, along with some experience of 1:1 health consultation including bespoke sessions for clients with individual fitness and medical needs

A requirement of this role is to hold an exercise referral Level 3 qualification, (or ability to gain within 3 months) with Level 2 gym instruction REPS accredited qualification.

Knowledge of Health & Safety in relation to Sports Centres in required.

SPORTS COACH (Health)
Full time – 37 hrs per week (occasional evenings and weekends)
L4 - £19,048 - £20,849

 

Due to the growth in the work of the Health & Wellbeing team, particularly in the development of our health referral service, there is an opportunity for a motivated, reliable and innovative individual with appropriate qualifications, skills and experience to assist in the management and development of the Health & Wellbeing team and its activities. The successful candidate will still be expected to deliver activities for a significant period of their working week, however they will also take on additional areas of responsibility including the coordination and management of health related programmes.

The successful candidate will lead the planning, development and delivery of an inclusive range of high quality health and fitness activity sessions, in particular those associated with, Exercise Referrals, Long Term Conditions such as COPD, Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease within Active Luton facilities and other community settings.

SPORTS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT (until March 2017)

A fantastic opportunity is available for someone looking to get into Sports Development and join the successful County Sports Partnership in Bedfordshire and Luton. 

team BED & LUTON is core funded by Sport England to deliver a number of services which contribute to increasing participation and widening access to sport, physical activity and the achievement of sporting success for all age groups, and are pivotal in delivering the participation target set by government.

team BEDS & LUTON is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work in the area of
club development and school-club links , whilst supporting our marketing activities and helping at county events.

You will support the promotion, development and coordination of the Satellite Club Links programme, this will entail meeting with local sports clubs and schools with Bedfordshire to broker positive relationships.

Another key responsibility will be to evaluate sessions across all of our insight lead funded programmes to ensure that high quality is maintained and deep impact is being delivered.

You will join the team working with and learning from sports development professionals.

You will have an interest in sport; have strong organisational skills; work well in a team; be a good writer and communicator; and be creative when developing plans.
