Sponsorship opportunity at local charity shop
Active Luton is calling for local businesses to sponsor its charity shop, Sports Traider.
Located in the centre of Luton in The Mall, Sports Traider sells second hand and end of line sports equipment and clothing to the community at affordable prices.
In partnership with Luton Borough Council, Active Luton has employed five adults with learning disabilities to work in the shop alongside the current team which gives them an opportunity to experience the world of employment.
There are a range of sponsorship opportunities available, ranging from logos on store signage and merchandise, free advertising space at Active Luton’s sports facilities and free editorial in publications and on websites.
Helen Barnett, chief executive of Active Luton, said: “The charity retail sector seems to be growing all the time which makes sponsorship a real business prospect.
“This is a great opportunity to raise the profile of your organisation by being associated with a shop that is in a great location and supports a very worthy cause.”

All proceeds from Sports Traider pay for Active Luton sports coaches who work in the community and in schools delivering sports coaching in areas of social deprivation.
Helen Barnett added: “I would also like to ask anyone who is having a clear-out and finds unwanted sports equipment or clothing, to donate it to Sports Traider at The Mall or by calling 07795 452481. By doing this you will helping some of Luton’s neediest families.”
