Our cardiac rehabilitation programme is designed to help individuals who have had heart-related health issues to improve their quality of life. The programmes are run by specialist cardiac rehabilitation health professionals and are taken on both a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Exercise is a key focus and aims to help individuals build up strength and regain confidence. Sessions include gym and studio-based activities with the use of heart rate monitors. This programme is a great way to meet new people and, in particular, individuals who have also suffered heart problems.
Case study: Patrick Foley (pictured above) talks about his programme:
“Since I was introduced to Active Luton by the hospital cardio physio, I have come on leaps and bounds. I really enjoy my time with you as you are getting me fit enough for a triple bypass. Thanks to your programme I expect a full and quick recovery.”
