Case Study: Danielle Davis - Business Administration
Danielle began her Level 2 Apprenticeship in 2012 and has now progressed through to Level 4 which she is now undertaking. She is currently working within the Administration Team at Active Luton’s Head Office. Her role is very varied from answering the main telephone line and being the first port of call for customers, to taking minutes in important business meetings.
‘I enjoyed learning new skills including improving my face to face communication with customers and also colleagues. Speaking with customers over the phone was also completely new to me so was a real learning curve; this helped towards the job that I work in now.
‘Something that I really enjoy is working with staff members of different ages to myself and picking up key skills that they have gained throughout their time at Active Luton. One of the key things for me is seeing how Active Luton and the work I undertake can benefit the community.’
Case Study: Taylar Coffey - Business Administration
Taylar started her Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship in August of Last Year and she is currently based at Active Luton’s Head Office within the Administration Team. Taylar has also had the opportunity to undertake a Level 1 Football Coaching course which she really enjoys and could also open the door to future opportunities.
‘My Apprenticeship has helped me grow as a person and really helped me with my confidence. I am learning new skills that I can use in everyday life and with possible jobs in the future. Working in an office wasn’t something I thought I would enjoy, however my apprenticeship has made me realise the variety of different tasks that are carried out, meaning everyday can be different.’
